Brand New, State-of-the-Art Library in India Chooses Virtua

Blacksburg, VA - VTLS Inc. is proud to announce a new Virtua sale in Patna, India at the Chandragupta Institute of Management (CIMP). This is a brand new world-class library that is expected to set a new benchmark for the existing libraries in the state, according to The Times of India.

The new campus will include the 5,000 square foot library with a collection that reflects the most current/global, national and industry-focused information in the form of books, periodicals, magazines, CD/DVD and newsletters.

"It will include space for independent reading and reference, group work and assignments, multimedia viewing, information literacy programs, a cafeteria and a light reading area," said CIMP director, V. Mukundadas, in a recent interview with The Times of India.

On the digital front, CIMP plans to create the best possible collection to compare with the most well respected schools in the world. The library will focus on information literacy programs aimed at increasing the use of resources available in the library. In addition, it will also drive the institutional repository program including archiving the institutional history and knowledge generated by its faculty and students.

The library, which will be connected to all the modern libraries of the world, will be open this summer.

The library maintains a physical collection consisting of general, reference, serials, vertical files, red spot, tutor copies collections, and an audio-visual section. Their electronic collection includes online e-books, online journals, in-house electronic books, past examination papers, and WOU news clippings.
