For Immediate Release
Blacksburg, VA - VTLS Inc. is proud to announce that twenty-four classic VTLS users have chosen to migrate to VIRTUA. These VTLS Classic sites in Thailand chose to upgrade to VIRTUA to take advantage of the advanced features the software offers, particularly full Unicode⢠support and support for Thai language searching that uses a sophisticated word-break algorithm. Among the libraries included is Sukhotai Thammathirat University, the first VTLS customer in Thailand that installed classic VTLS in 1994. The other universities include Eastern Asia University, Dhurakijpundit University, Huachiew Chalermprakiet University, Payap University and Ubon Ratchathani University, Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, fifteen Rajabhat (Teacher) Universities, the Department of Sciences Service Library and the library of the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
At least two other sites plan to follow the lead of these universities and migrate to VIRTUA in the coming months of 2007.
