Technical Analyst, Customer Support

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs system installations and training
  • Consults with customers concerning the most effective use of the software
  • Provides hotline support to customers
  • Provides support to customers through on-site visits, workshops, and users group meetings
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves software errors
  • Prepares system administration documentation

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS databases
  • Knowledge of UNIX
  • Motivated and service oriented
  • Excellent trouble-shooting skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred

  • Knowledge of SQL or other relational databases
  • Experience in systems support/service
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP or Java
  • Experience with webpage design and development
  • Experience with library systems administration

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related curriculum.
